The Construction technologies utilised by our contractors

A solar plant must be constructed within the parameters of international and national guidelines and
directives. To this end the experience and consolidated know-how of our contractors in recent years have
help us deliver superior quality projects on time and in accordance with national and international
standards.

The essential equipment required for the conversion of sunlight into electrical power are the inverters and the PV solar modules. Additionally the mountings and a connection meter at the point of connection to the mains are required. The inverter transforms the power created by to solar modules from direct (DC) to alternating current (AC); which is compatible with the mains network. From the inverter the electricity is fed-in to the mains through a meter which counts the amount of power generated.

In addition to these basic principles The Anwerdis Group use only the best technical components to
assure the success of their solar parks:

 Central inverters are from “Power One” or “SMA” which offer the highest performance and best
yields

 High system availability due to 55kW segmentation. The plant will continue to produce at levels of
at least 95% during times of failures

 The principle that repairs and replacement of components will be done fast and efficiently

 Operational safety (which is especially important in countries where temperature exceeds 45
degrees)

 That the components used are approved and certified for use in the region were the plant is to be
constructed

 A central monitoring system with the appropriate communications software which can provide
real time monitoring and inspection of the facility regardless of distance, continent and time.

 Aluminium or galvanised steel frames. Factors taken into consideration when choosing the frames
are the wind and snow fall for the region. The frames used have a short construction and
dismantling period. Furthermore the value of raw materials such as Aluminium is retained over
the years and the quality guarantees that they will last in the long term.

 A lightning protection system is integrated into each of the components of the plants – thus
protection is provided for all weather conditions.

 A secure and solid fence with monitoring devices and modules with no outward rotating screws
provide excellent protection against theft. In addition each module has a sealed-identification
number.

 For a complete security of the systems cameras and sensors are used to monitor the plant around
the clock.
